Is Tessera an AI?
No. Tessera is a private AI memory app, and it is not an AI itself. It is the memory layer between you and whichever AI you use: it holds what you want remembered and hands that context to the AI model answering your question. The model does the answering. Tessera does the remembering.
That distinction is the whole product. It is why your memory works across AI models rather than inside one of them, why you can read every line of it, and why you can take it away with you.

What is Tessera?
Tessera is a private AI memory app for your iPhone and your browser. It gives AI a memory of who you are. You chat with leading AI models through it, and because your context comes along, the answers actually fit your life. The memory belongs to you: you can see it, edit it, delete it, or request a full copy.
How does AI memory work in Tessera?
You tell Tessera about yourself once, in ordinary conversation, and it turns what matters into individual facts you can read. When you ask a question, the facts relevant to that question travel with it to the AI model answering you. Nothing else goes. That is why the first answer fits instead of the fourth. Why does AI forget everything between chats?
Most AI products start each conversation from nothing. The model has no standing record of you, so every chat begins with a stranger who has to be told your situation again. Some apps now keep notes inside their own product, but those notes stay locked in that product. Tessera keeps the memory on your side instead, so it works across models and stays visible to you.
Which AI models can I use with Tessera?
Several leading AI models, included in one subscription. You can pick one, let Tessera choose for you, or switch mid-conversation, and the next model picks up with your full context intact. We deliberately do not tie the product to any single provider.
Do I need to be technical to use Tessera?
No. If you can use a messaging app, you can use Tessera. There is nothing to configure and no special way you have to phrase things. The whole point is that good answers stop requiring skill.
Does Tessera work on iPhone and the web?
Both, on one subscription. Start a conversation on your phone and continue it in your browser at app.your-tessera.com. Same memory, same conversations.
Can I use Tessera on my Mac or PC?
Yes. Tessera runs in any modern browser at app.your-tessera.com, and on a Mac, a PC or a Chromebook you can install it so that it opens in its own window with its own icon, without a browser tab in the way. It is the same Tessera, the same memory and the same subscription.

Who can see your memory, and how to erase it
Does the AI company know who I am when I use Tessera?
No. Your question reaches the AI model with no name on it, no email address, and no account for it to file the answer under. Tessera holds your identity and the model does the thinking, so it cannot recognise you tomorrow because it never knew you today. The full plain-language explanation.
Who can read what Tessera remembers about me?
You can, in full. Your memory opens like a settings page, so you can read every line, change any of it, or delete it. When you chat, only the pieces relevant to your question are shared with the AI model answering you, on business tiers where conversations are not used to train the models by default. Does AI train on my conversations?
No. Tessera never uses your conversations or your memory to train anything of our own, and your questions reach the AI models on their business tiers, where conversations are not used to train the models by default, rather than the consumer apps where what you type can become training data.
Can I delete what Tessera remembers?
Yes. Delete any fact one at a time, or delete your account entirely and everything goes with it. You can request a full copy of your data first. Deletion is real deletion, not a hidden archive.
Does Tessera sell my data or run ads?
No. Subscriptions are the entire business model. There is no advertising side of the company, so there is no ad product your data could be sold to power.

What Tessera costs
Is Tessera free?
Tessera is free for your first 10 days, with no card required. After that it is a paid subscription starting at $19.99 per month. There is no permanently free tier, and nothing charges automatically when the trial ends.
What does Tessera cost?
Paid plans are $19.99, $39.99 and $79.99 per month. They differ only in how much you can talk to it and how much memory you can store. Every plan gets the same private memory and the same privacy controls. One subscription covers the iPhone app and the web. Full pricing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, in Settings, in about three taps. Your plan stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and your memory remains yours either way: export it or erase it whenever you like.
How is Tessera different from using an AI app directly?
When you use a single AI app on its own, whatever it remembers about you lives inside that one product. You usually cannot see all of it, you cannot take it with you, and it is gone the day you switch. Tessera keeps the memory on your side of the conversation: one memory you can read line by line, edit, export, or erase, handed to whichever of several leading AI models you pick.
